Are your socks suitable for diabetics?
Diabetics
have special needs and requirements due
to their diabetic condition. As the disease
condition advances, blood vessels especially
in their feet develop narrowing in some
places. This may lead to reduced blood circulation
in the limbs.
This is a dangerous situation to have, because
with poor circulation, tissues lack oxygen,
and may suffer infections quite easily.
A combination of infection, poor circulation
and abundant tissue glucose means a deadly
situation developing. SmoothToe® Socks
were initially designed for diabetics to
alleviate the situation by preventing all
the three conditions predisposing the diabetic
foot to poor circulation, infection and
ulceration. To find out more click

What makes your socks ideal for diabetics?
How do they work?
SmoothToe®
Socks a designed with 1000s of bands of
lycra to produce a mild & graduated
compression gentle but firm that stimulates
return blood flow to the legs. By improving
blow flow and preventing pooling in the
feet, oxygen in the tissues is improved.
There is also less discomfort thus encouraging
the diabetic person to move more easily.
Furthermore, SmoothToe ™ have are
cotton free, which is a very important consideration
when you are to avoid infection at all costs.
Cotton traps moisture which in turn encourages
growth of bacteria which may lead to formation
of ulcers.
Other sock brands are made of cotton
why are yours non cotton?
SmoothToe
are based on solid scientific evidence for
ensuring proper care to the diabetic feet.
Other socks claimed to be diabetic socks
were made for other day to day use, otherwise
it is sheer lack of awareness on all sides.
Cotton is not good for diabetic feet and
that is well established for several reasons...Cotton
socks absorb moisture, when wet a cotton
sock will lose its integrity by 3 times!
SmoothToe® Socks use CoolMax™
a special material that does not cause friction
against your skin. Any friction will cause
skin breakdown calluses, blisters, corns,
wounds etc.
What is Coolmax™ for?
CoolMax™
is a innovative technical fibre designed
to wick moisture away from the skin, important
for extreme sport and diabetics. Both conditions
need tender love and care for feet!
How different are SmoothToe® socks
to brand X?
We believe there are no socks on the market
quite like SmoothToe®
Socks! A full list of the differences and
benefits of wearing SmoothToe is listed

page or watch the video here SmoothToe
Socks Features
How
often should I wear SmoothToe Socks?
SmoothToe® socks are unlike any you’ve
ever worn before. So it’s important
that you prepare yourself suitably before
wearing them for an
extended duration.
- You should think of introducing SmoothToe®
socks in much the same way as introducing
an orthotic device to your feet i.e. slowly
at first.
- We recommend wearing your SmoothToe®
for a couple of hours in the evening
for the first few days, and then extending
the amount of time up to 3 –
4 hours per night after day four (or
as you feel comfortable).
- By day five or six your feet should
be accustomed to the added support
and be ready for all day wear. Some people
have found sleeping in them is a good
way to get your feet used to your SmoothToe®
even faster.
On the other hand you might find that you’re
able to wear your SmoothToe® all day
everyday right from the start … so
go ahead and slip them on now!
